David TEMPLE ROBERTS' first marriage (registered Q1 1941 - Birmingham) was to Meredith M L PELDA, by whom he appears to have had no issue. She was married secondly, in 1946, to John Stewart Hardman HEAPE (18 IX 1913 - 16 III 1993). He was married secondly, also in 1946, to Edith B LOEB.

 

The birth of David Temple Roberts was registered in East Preston, Sussex, in Q1 1920, and he died in 1952, at the early age of 32. Francesca G T ROBERTS (born 28 X 1951) appears to have been the only child of his second marriage.

 

The parents of David Temple Roberts were Capt Owen Fiennes Temple ROBERTS, FRSE, MC (1896 - 13 XI 1968), an astronomer and meteorologist, and his wife (married 1918), Ethel S FENNER (c. 1896 - ?). Capt Roberts was himself the son of Alfred Temple ROBERTS (1857 - 17 V 1911) and his wife (married 7 VIII 1884), Susan Charlotte Catherine FIENNES-CLINTON (1858 - 26 II 1936), a 7 x greats-granddaughter of the 2nd Earl of Lincoln.
