I came across this lengthy newspaper clipping describing the murder-suicide of John Brooks and his wife in 1902. I found it quite interesting and thought it might be of interest to others.
John Brooks was nephew of the 1st Lord Crawshaw. His wife was daughter of Sir John Drummond-Hay.
He is included in the Crawshaw article in a recent Burke's, and while his wife's death date is noted, his is not (since he was the murderer Burke's didn't want to mention his details?)
