From the Telegraph of 9 July 2026: CRICHTON-STUART Elizabeth "Jane" (Edinburgh). Died peacefully on 4th July 2026 at home, surrounded by her family. Service at Warriston Crematorium, Lorimer Chapel on Thursday 16th July at 1 p.m. followed by the burial at The Dean Cemetery at 2.30 p.m.

She was d of Ernest James WHITSON c1886-1952. She m 1964 Frederick John Patrick 1940-2011 (HE Fra’ Fredrik, Knight & 56th Grand Prior in England of Sovereign Military Order of Malta) s of Lord Rhidian CRICHTON-STUART 1917-69 (s of 4 Marquess of BUTE 1881-1947, etc) and Selina VAN WIJK 1913-85, and had 2 sons and three daus.
