He was s of Charles Joseph Ignatius WELD-BLUNDELL (1928-2004) scion of that gentry family of Ince Blundell and of the WELD gentry family of Lulworth and 2xgt gs of 17th Baron STOURTON (1752-1816) and 3xgt gs of 6th Duke of LEEDS (1775-1838) etc, and Veronica Mary NOYES (1930-2020, 3xgt gd of 6th Baron CLIFFORD OF CHUDLEIGH (1759-1831) and 4xgt gd of 8th Baron ARUNDELL OF WARDOUR (1740-1808)) d of Alfred NOYES CBE (1880-1958) and his 2nd w (her 2nd h, she was widow of Richard Weld-Blundell d 1916) Mary Angela (1889-1976) d of Capt Jasper Graham MAYNE CBE (1859-1936), scion of that gentry family of Gidleigh Park. He m 1985 (reg Q4 Clwyd) Buddug L (b 1964 reg Q3 Shropshire) d of G Selwyn LLOYD of Grasmere, Linden Drive, Prestatyn, and had a son (Charles Joseph b 1993 reg Q2 Lancs) and two daus (Laura Sian b 1987 reg Q4 Lancs and Philippa Kate b 1989 reg Q4 Lancs)
