_. The Lady Ursula d'Abo, who died 2 November, 2017, aged 100, was one of the last surviving aristocrats to participate at the Coronation of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth, in May, 1937.

As the 20 year-old Lady Ursula Manners she acted as one of Queen Elizabeth's trainbearers in Westminster Abbey, and later appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, on May 12 1937.

Ursula Isabel Manners was born 8 November, 1916, the elder daughter of the 9th Duke of Rutland (1886-1940), by his wife the former Kathleen Tennant.

She married firstly, 25 July, 1943 (div1947)Anthony Freire Marreco, RNVR, scion of that landed family, only son of the late Geoffrey Marreco. She resumed her maiden name, and married 2ndly, 22 Nov, 1951, Robert Erland Nicolai d'Abo, scion of that landed family, elder son of Gerard Louis d'Abo, by whom she had issue, two sons and a daughter.

Lady Ursula's brother, Lord Roger Manners, died in recent weeks.
