He was s of Joseph Cecil Mary MOSTYN 1891-1971 (gt gs of Sir Edward MOSTYN 7 Bt 1785-1841) and Joan Wake 1901-76 d of Guy SHORROCK 1867-1941 and Emma Blanche c1869-1909 d of Adm Charles WAKE 1824-90 (s of Sir Charles WAKE 10 Bt 1791-1864) and Emma c1833-1920 d of Sir Edward ST AUBYN 1 Bt 1799-1872 (f of 1 Baron ST LEVAN 1829-1908) and Emma c1806-1887 d of Gen William KNOLLYS 1763-1834 (2xgt gs of 3 Earl of BANBURY 1631-74, 3xgt gs of 1 Baron SHERARD 1588-1640, 3xgt gs of 1 Earl of NEWPORT, 4xgt gs of 1 Baron BOTELER c1566-1637, etc etc) and Charlotte Martha c1777-1818 d of Ebenezer BLACKWELL 1711-82 and Mary EDEN c1746-1837.
