He was 3rd s of Walter Treverbian PRIDEAUX (d 1958), scion of that gentry family of Elderslie, and Marion Fenn ARBUTHNOT (1878-1958) scion of that gentry family of Elderslie (later Prideaux). He m 1939 Cynthia Violet (1918-?) d of Lt-Col Henry Thomas BIRCH REYNARDSON CMG (1892-1972), sometime head of that gentry family of Adwell House, by his 1st wife Diana Helen JP (1891-1962) d of Hon Edwin Charles William PONSONBY (1851-1939), scion of the DE MAULEY barons, and had four sons.
