She was d of Thomas Geoffrey BLACKWELL OBE 1884-1943 sometime head of that gentry family of The Cedars &c and Shirley Maud 1889-1978 d of John LAWSON JOHNSTON 1839-1900 (f of 1 Baron LUKE 1873-1943) and Elizabeth Elliot 1854-1924 d of George LAWSON 1823-81 and Elizabeth WILSON 1828-83. She m c1957 reg Q1 Westminster Anthony D’Ewes 1918-2010 yr s of Sir Douglas MCCRAITH 1878-1952 sometime head of that gentry family of Normanton Grange and Phyllis Marguerite 1895-1994 d of Arthur D’Ewes LYNAM 1861-1924 of Nottingham by his 2 Dec 1890 m (St Andrew, Nottingham) to Margaret Fredericka Cecilia Horton c1867-1955 d of Capt Herbert Ellis DANVERS RN c1836-1883 by his 6 Aug 1862 m (Richmond) to Augusta Frances HORTON 1840-1879, and had two sons (incl David Charles who m 1995 Rosanna Claire b 1965 d of Capt Charles St John Graham MONCREIFF 1931-2021 scion of that Scots gentry family of Kinmouth and Joanna Dava PETO 1938-2005 gd of Sir Basil Edward PETO 1862-1945) and a dau as above.
