The brunette beauty was the daughter of Elizabeth, the Marquesa Campus di Santinelli, while her first cousin was the Earl of Warwick. As a young girl Annabelle enjoyed play dates at Warwick Castle.

Squeezed from various online searches, including something called famechain.com, and a Peerage News-like detailed discussion of the ancestry of Guy David Greville, 9th Earl of Warwick, born 1957.

A connection to the Queen Mother through her Burnaby ancestors, but it's more distant than second cousins:

Beaten to the punch by Harry (whose information also helpfully pointed out an error I'd made!), but as I've typed it I might as well post it!

Maxwell Frederick Neilson 1940- m. 1965, Elizabeth, Marquesa Campus di Santinelli

This thread appears to detail the Warwick connection: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/soc.genealogy.medieval/Z9plcZD2vcE

Max Neilson was s. of Drover Frederick Acton Neilson (1891-1976), F.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., B.A. (Cantab.), an ENT specialist, by his wife (Elizabeth) Pamela, formerly wife of Alfred Chester Beatty Jr (see that Warwick thread linked above); she was dau. of Capt. George Henry Belas, R.F.A., and Winifred Emily, dau. of Col Eustace Beaumont(-)Burnaby, 10th Regiment of Foot, whose family were in Burke's L.G. 1906 as 'of Brampton Manor House', nr Huntingdon, descended from the family of that name 'of Baggrave Hall', Leics., treated in that same edition.

The Queen Mother's maternal grandfather, Rev. Charles William Frederick Cavendish-Bentinck (of the Earls of Portland) was married to (Caroline) Louisa, dau. of Edwyn Burnaby, P.C., D.L., J.P., of Baggrave Hall. Edwyn was the eldest son of Edwyn Andrew Burnaby (1771-1825), s. of Andrew Burnaby, D.D.; Andrew's third son, John Dick Burnaby, of Evington, Leics., was father of Thomas Fowke Andrew Burnaby of Brampton Manor House (see above), whose son was Eustace Beaumont(-)Burnaby (as above). As Harry said, this would seem to make the Queen Mother and Elizabeth Pamela Belas fourth cousins.

The Campus Di Santinelli marquisate, is it a Nepolese title that goes through the female line? As I have not heard of other Italian titles going through the female line.

depends on its creation. But all Italian titles since 1926 had changed for succession to only male to male heirs thereafter. Unless Monarch consent and perhaps recreation.

Alternatively, it should rather be noted as her family title is styled to all members and females till marriage.. So rather as Marchesa N Campus di Santinelli.

Ah ha, so it is like the Katie Boyle Imperialli title. Usually only the Neapolitan titles go through the female line, special remainders aside.
