She m first 1960 (div 1990) David Hugh Lavallin 1935-2003 s of Sir Hugh Charles NUGENT 6 Bt 1904-83 and Margaret Mary Lavallin PUXLEY 1911- 2004 scion of that Welsh gentry family of Llethr Lestri & Welford Park (and gt gd of Sir John NEELD 1 Bt 1805-91), and had 3 sons and a dau.

She m second 1992 (Robert) Martin 1930-2014 s of Lt-Col Robert Shankland MAYS-SMITH MBE 1902-80 of Rye, Sussex (s of the motor manufacturer Sir Alfred Samuel MAYS-SMITH) and Brenda Mary Hilda 1905-90 d of Hubert Cecil RICKETT 1877-1950 and Mabel FLETCHER 1875-.

From the Telegraph of 30 July 2026: MAYS-SMITH  Eliza. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lady Eliza Mays-Smith on Friday 24th July. A much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, stepmother and dear friend to many. Funeral at St Andrew's Church, Chaddleworth on Wednesday 19th August at 2 p.m. No flowers, donations to the Injured Jockeys Fund via Camp Hopson Funeral Directors....
