Baronet Changes/Updates

After completing my work with the hereditary peers, I've begun comparing my notes (based on DPB 2019, plus updates posted here) with DPB Online.

Some of the changes may or may not have already been posted here, and if they have, my apologies.

I've managed to get through the "A"'s and "B"'s, and will continue using this thread as I go along.

One last thing: unlike DPB, my list is alphabetical by the first name, so for example, "Aubrey-Fletcher" is listed with the A's and not the F's.

AUBREY-FLETCHER-- The 3rd son Harry, has 2 sons, Rafe Buchanan (b. 2015) and Jack Buchanan (b. 2017).  Also, it should be noted that Harry's wife, and the boys' mother, Hon. Sarah (nee Stourton) is the sister of Lord Mowbray, Segrave and Stourton.  She is the eldest of his 4 sisters who are co-heiresses presumptive to the baronies of Mowbray and Segrave, so these boys are also in the line of succession to those titles as well.

BERNEY-- The son and ha, WILLIAM, has a son, Thomas (b. 2018)

BOLES-- The son and ha, JAMES, has a son, Ronnie Thomas J.F.. (b. 2016). He was born the same year as his parents (wife/mother's name is Brenny Sally Blake) were married, so further research needs to be done to see if he is in remainder.

BORTHWICK -- The son and ha, MATTHEW, has a son, Henry Thomas R. (b. 2014)

BOUGHEY-- There is a new ha, as the current baronet has a son, ALEXANDER MICHELOF (b. 2010).

BOWYER-- Thomas, the only son of the hp JOHN JEREMY WINDHAM, has a son, Alistair Ashe (b. 2020)

BROOKSBANK-- The son and ha, FLORIAN, has a son, Oliver Stamp (b. 2015).  This situation is exactly like the Boles case, as Florian and his wife Tiffany-Rose, da of Russell Lawson of Invercargill, NZ, were married in 2015.  Further research needs to be done. as to whether or not Oliver is in the line of succession.

BRUCE (1628)-- It looks like DPB Online has taken to calling those baronets whose names are not on the Official Roll of the Baronetage "de jure."  (I believe this is the first time I have encountered that with DPB Online.)  With the current baronet, Michael Ian Richard BRUCE not on the official list, he is listed as "de jure 13th Baronet" and the baronetage is listed as "Dormant 2021.)  The brother and hp ROBERT DUDLEY, had adopted the surname of his stepfather, which I believe was "ROSS."  In 2018, Robert legally changed it back to "BRUCE."  However, according to DPB Online, his 2 sons  Zachary Scott (b. 1991) and Skyler Michael (b. 1993) are still going by the surname "ROSS."

BUCKWORYH-HERNE-SOAME-- Similar to BRUCE, the baronetage is listed as "Dormant 2013", and the current baronet, Richard,  as the "de jure 13th Baronet."

BURBIDGE-- Similar to BRUCE, the baronetage is listed as "Dormant 2019" , and the current baronet, John, as the "de jure 7th baronet."

BUXTON-- The current baronet's son, Milo (born the same year as his parents' marriage, 2005) is no longer shown as ha.  First in the line of succession is a great-grandson of the 4th Baronet (by way of his son Clarence and grandson Rupert)  JONATHAN (b. 1950).  JONATHAN has one son, Nicholas Rupert (b. 1982), shown as unmarried.

CHETWYND-- Hugh, the elder son of the hp WILLIAM RICHARD TALBOT, has 2 sons, Owen (b. 2004) and Simon (b. 2007).  Owen was born before his parents' 2005 marriage.

COCHRANE-CAMPBELL--- The son and ha, (THOMAS) AUSTIN, has a son, Chase, b. 2016.  However, no date of marriage to his wife Chris (no further information shown) is given, so further research is needed to determine whether or not Chase is in remainder.

DALRYMPLE-WHITE-- Dormant since 2006.  The current baronet, Jan, is shown as the "de jure 3rd Baronet."  His only son, Gregory (not in remainder) has a son, Ivan Tiberius (b. 2017).  Even if Jan were to be included on the Official Roll, there is no heir to the baronetcy.

HENNIKER-HEATON-- The son and ha ,ALASTAIR, has 2 sons. ALASTAIR and his wife Claire E. Wassell, married c. 2016.   The elder son, Henry John, was born in  2016.  so further investigation needs to be done as to whether or not he is in remainder.  The second son is Edward Barnaby, b. 2019.

SALT (1869)--The brother and hp, NICHOLAS's son, Aaron,has a son Austin (b.c. 2005), but it's not clear if he's in remainder.  NICHOLAS also has a son, Jack Dylan, b. 1983, by his partner, so Jack is not in remainder.

SEBRIGHT-- The baronetcy changes from having no heir, to having an heir presumptive.  The hp, DASHIELL (B. 1987) is the half-brother of the baronet.  DASHIELL  is a son of the 15th baronet, by his 2nd marriage.  He is shown as unmarried and is the only male in remainder to the baronetcy.

SEELY--  CHARLES HILTON (b. 1972) is shown as the hp, succeeding his uncle, CHARLES JOHN HOWELL, who died in 2023.  CHARLES is shown as unmarried.

SETON (1663)-- Dormant 1993.  Current baronet, Charles, is shown as the "de jure 13th Baronet."

SINCLAIR-- The baronetcy changes from having no heir to having an heir apparent.  The ha,  ROBERT JOHN P. (b. 2013) is the only son of  the current baronet.

Finishing the S's with 2 more--

STUART-FORBES-- DPB Online has now updated this page to reflect the new 14th Baronet,   Kenneth Charles (b. 1956), who succeeded his father.  The passing of   William Daniel, the 13th Baronet, was previously posted here.  Sir Kenneth's only son SAMUEL ALEXANDER MURRAY (b. 1989) is the ha.  He married Stephanie Pegg in 2023 and is said to "(have) issue."

SYNGE--  Dormant 2011.  The current baronet, Allen James Edward is listed as the "de jure 9th Baronet."  The hp is his kinsman, DANIEL THOMAS MILLINGTON (b. 1963), who has a son Felix James Millington (b. 2004).

TREVELYAN (1874)-- The 6th Bt. Peter, is also listed as the "de jure 12th Baronet of Nettlecombe."  This 1662 baronetcy is listed as Dormant 1976.

TROUBRIDGE-- The elder son and ha, EDWARD, has a son, Hugo Archie T. (b. 2018).

As I start the last batch or so, my apologies, as I have not listed every baronetage that DPB Online includes as "Dormant" with a baronet that is now listed as "de jure." 

My main focus throughout this "project" has been to include changes and additions in the immediate line of succession to each baronetage.  I hope I have been able to accomplish that successfully.

Without further delay, here are 2 more:

WHITE (1802)-- The younger son, Simon, has a son,  John Nicholas Taylor, b. 2019

WILLIAMS (1866)--  No change in the hp or his son.  DPB Online does list a son, Matthew  (b. & d. 1985) for the current baronet.
