From the Times of 10 July 2026: TURNBULL George Anthony Twentyman on 17th June 2026, aged 87. Much-loved husband of Petronel. Devoted father of Jonty, Bobby and Tim. Grandfather of Ollie, Ottie, Isabel, James, Freddie, Grace and Will. There will be a private funeral and then a celebration of his life will be held at the Brading Roman villa on the Isle of Wight on 27th July at 1pm.

He was s of Stuart John Twentyman TURNBULL d 1991 and Hilda Jane TAYLOR 1908-83, sister of 1 Baron GRANTCHESTER 1893-1976. He m 1962 Petronel Jonette Rene 1941-2020 d of Maj James William Thursby DUNN 1898-1969 scion of that gentry family f/o Titcomb Manor & Wallingtons and the THURSBY gentry family of Culverlands, and as her 2nd h Irene Henrietta MOND 1901-72, niece of 1st Baron MELCHETT 1868-1930, and had two sons and a dau as above.
