From the Telegraph & Times of 29 Jan 2022: FOGARTY Kieran died on January 18th 2022, aged 74. Unexpectedly, but peacefully. Beloved husband of Francesca and much loved brother, uncle and great uncle as well as stylish hero to countless friends. Peerless raconteur, irresistible charmer, and inspirational musician who leaves us all now in a duller place.
He was s of Prof Michael Patrick FOGARTY 1916-2001 of Brook Lodge, Ballywaltrium, Bray, co Wicklow by his 1939 m reg Q3 Oxford to Phyillis CLARK 1916-98. He m 1970 The QUEEN's 2nd cousin Francesca Ann b 1948 d of Lt-Col Francis Arthur Philip D'ABREU, ERD 1904-95 sometime head of that gentry family and Margaret Ann 1907-99 d of Maj Hon Patrick BOWES-LYON 1863-1946 (s of 13th Earl of STRATHMORE & KINGHORNE 1824-1904 and, therefore, The QUEEN's gt uncle) and Alice 1867-1953 d of George WILSHIRE 1844-1929 by his 1866 m rg Q4 Bristol to Charlotte JONES 1842-1892.
