BARRY CROFTON OBITUARY

CROFTON, Barry Gerald Barry passed away peacefully September 8th, 2012 with his loving wife Gail and sister Kerry at his side. Son of Patrick and Anne Crofton, Barry was born in Ganges and attended St Michael's School and Oak Bay High. He is survived by his wife Gail Crofton-Kerr (her sisters Julie and Karen) and step-son Ben King in Nova Scotia, and brother Cameron (Carol Marie), sister Kerry [Catherine] (Charles Blackhall), nephew Nigel, niece Deki and many Crofton cousins in Victoria and his Evans cousins. He was the  yr son of Maj Donovan Patrick [probably should be Patrick Donovan] CROFTON (1915-1997) scion of the Crofton Barons being descended from the yst brother of the 3rd Baron, and (m 1946) Anne B EVANS. He is shown as unm in DPB online

This obit suggests that Nigel is Charles Blackhall's son by a previous marriage to Ahne now Murray.  Deki is described as Nigel's step-sister  - she may actually be  Charles and Kerry's daughter in which case she is actually a half-sister rather than a step-sister but of course she could be Kerry's daughter from a previous (unknown) marriage/relationship

Anne Crofton's obit posted above suggests that (as I thought) the forenames of her husband ("PD") were actually Patrick Donovan rather than Donovan Patrick as in DPB
