The Papps family lived at Bernardsville, N.J., and later at Reeders, P.A.; there were two daughters: Gillian [per BP 2003; the obit. gives 'Jillian'] Sara (b. 1967); and Luisa Elizabeth (b. 1970). Gillian m. - Palmer (daus. Anne Renee and Leslie Brooke); Luisa m. Erik Pulkka, of Woodinville, Washington (sons Erik Oliver and Angus Benjamin).
Some notes on the [Gyle-]Thompson family, as I was looking into them earlier:
Hugh Herbert Gyle[-]Thompson of Old Quarry House, North Park, Gerrards Cross, Bucks., vice-chairman, T. Wall & Sons (Ice Cream) Ltd, director, T. Wall & Sons Ltd. He 4th s. of Arthur Gladstone Thompson (1869-1936), of Yatton Court, Aymestrey, Herefords., formerly of Brynmorfydd, Llanrhaiadr yn Cinmerch [now 'Llanrhaeadr-yng-Nghinmeirch'], Denbighs., Wales, sometime of La Paz, Bolivia, merchant, and (m. 1905), Bertha Evelyn (1966-1970), educ. McMaster Univ., Ontario, Canada (B.A. 1900), missionary to Bolivia 1901-, founder of a girls' sch. at Oruro 1902, at La Paz 1903-, dau. of Albert Chipman Gile, of Harlem, Ontario, farmer, J.P. [n.b.- there are a few different privately-published genealogies of the Gile/ Gyle/ etc famil(y/ies), which show this to be the spelling of the surname, altered when given as a middle name (which became, evidently, part of a compound surname) to their son. Although the fourth of four sons, with four sisters, Hugh was the only one given 'Gyle' as a middle name].
A. G. Thompson a younger s. [the census records are inconsistent with names and birth order; he seems to be the sixth son] of William Thompson (1822-[1899?]), of Salford, Lancs., formerly of Acomb Street, Chorlton, Moss Side, Lancs., formerly of Rock Ferry, Cheshire, formerly of Bank Terrace, Haslingden, New Accrington, Lancs., cotton merchant [the previous census gives him as 'cashier', but earlier census records give 'merchant'] and Mary Jane (1842-1932), dau. of - [I couldn't identify a marriage record given the fairly common names, unfortunately]. William Thompson was b. at Colne, Lancs; unfortunately there are a few options which made it impossible to identify him with the resources I had available.
