From the Times of 22 October 2018: BROWNRIGG Sir Nicholas died peacefully on 28th September 2018, aged 85, at his home in California. He is survived by his wife Valerie, son Michael and daughter Sylvia, and six grandchildren.

He was s of Gawen Egremont BROWNRIGG (1911-38) and (as her 1st h) Baroness Lucia von Bronsini. He m 1st 1959 (div 1965) Linda Louise d of Jonathan B LOVELACE, and had a son and a dau. He m 2nd 1971 Valerie Ann d of Julian A ARDEN. His son succeeds him:

[Sir] Michael Gowan BROWNRIGG [6th Bt] (b 1961), has yet to establish his claim and appear on The Roll of the Baronetage. He m 1990 Dr Margaret Dillon d of Dr Clay BURCHELL and had 2 sons and a dau:

Per Debrett's ,the new baronet also has a third son, Peter Edward Burchell, b. 2007.

Immediately before his death the late baronet was the third longest "reigning" living baronet (having succeeded in 1939).  The new third longest is Sir Adrian Blennerhassett Bt succ 1940
