From the Telegraph of 12 Dec 2023: BRUCE (Hamilton) Mary-Elizabeth, aged 93, died peacefully on 7th December. Dearly loved mother of Roddy and Catherine. Funeral to be held at All Saints' Church, Glencarse, at 1.30 p.m. on Thursday 18th January 2024 followed by private family cremation in Perth. Family flowers only. Donations to All Saints' Church, Glencarse.

She was d of Reginald Arthur WALTER 1885-1965 by his 28 Sept 1929 m (Perthshire) to as his 2^nd w Kathleen 1893-1942 d of Robert WYLIE HILL 1851-1939 and Isabella Muir ROWAT 1857-1940. She m 1^st 1953 Brig Bruce Meade HAMILTON MBE 1926-98 (2xgt gs of 8^th Viscount of ARBUTHNOTT 1778-1860 etc), and had a son and a dau as above. She m 2^nd 2000 as his 3^rd w Hon James Michael Edward BRUCE CBE 1927-2013 s of the 10^th Earl of ELGIN & [14^th] KINCARDINE KT CMG TD CD 1881-1968 and Hon Katherine Elizabeth COCHRANE DBE 1890-1989 d of 1^st Baron COCHRANE OF CULTS 1857-1951 (yr s of 3^rd Earl of DUNDONALD ) and Lady Gertrude Julia Georgina BOYLE 1861-1950 d of 6^th Earl of GLASGOW 1825-1890 and Hon Montagu ABERCROMBY 1835-1931 d of 3^rd Baron ABERCROMBY 1800-52.
