From the Telegraph of 30 March 2026: LEVETT-PRINSEP John (Chris) passed away peacefully at home on 24th March 2026, aged 79. Cherished husband of Deirdre and much loved by his family; sons Richard and Michael, daughters in law Jo and Rachel and grandchildren Sam, Olivia, Ava and Noah.

He was s of Edward John (Jack) LEVETT-PRINSEP 1914-79 scion of that gentry family f/o Croxall Hall (and 4xgt gs of Sir William STRICKLAND 6 Bt 1753-1834) by his 1942 m reg Q2 Warks to Irene F 1919-2015 d of James Thomas HARTLEY and Euphemia Fraser d of Joseph FERGUSON. He m 1968 reg Q4 Warks Deirdre J MCLEAN b 1945 reg Q2 Bromley, and had two sons:

2. Michael b 1978 reg Q2 Winchester: m Rachel

From 192.com, Richard Levett-Prinsep was on the electoral register in 2008 at the same address in Kingston upon Thames as a Joanna R Willis, and I have surmised that she is the lady who became his wife. I have made a similar supposition in relation to his brother, Michael, who was on the electoral register in 2013 at the same address in London SW18 as Rachel L Esplen.

 

Searches on the GRO index for the births of Levett-Prinsep children with Willis as the mother's maiden surname reveal Sam and Olivia as the children of Richard and Jo, and searches with Esplen as the mother's maiden surname reveal Ava and Noah as the children of Michael and Rachel.

 

Per Free BMD, the birth of Rachel Lucy ESPLEN was registered in Hammersmith in June 1984. She is the younger daughter of Michael James ESPLEN (born 7 V 1949) and his wife (married 1980), Julia M TOLSON (born 1952).
