VALDAMBRINI - VIRGINIA
(née Johnson) died suddenly on Tuesday 7th December. Daughter of Group
Captain Peter Johnson DSO OBE DFC AFC and Joan, and sister to Hugo.
Loving and much loved mother of Robert, Richard and Julia, loving
grandma to Rhiannon, loving Daddy’s Mummy to Maria, Michael, Sophie
and Christopher, and friend to Monkey. Her optimism, spirit, humour
and friendship will be missed by all who knew her. Off on another
trip.
Private funeral. Memorial Service at St. John’s Church, Devizes at 11
a.m. on 14th January 2011. No flowers please, but donations if

She was the dau of Group Capt Peter Warren JOHNSON DSO OBE DFC AFC
(1908-99), brother of the 6th JOHNSON Bt of New York, in North America
(cr GB 1755) and descended from the 2nd Bt, and his 1st wife Joan
Agnes (1904-72, dau of Capt Percy Richard HARE TD (1870-1937), scion
of the Earls of LISTOWEL - descended from the 2nd earl, and Matilda
Gertrude (1881-1972) dau of Henry Frederic TIARKS (1832-1911) head of
that gentry family formerly of Foxbury, and therefore gt aunt of
Henrietta, Duchess of BEDFORD (b 1940). She m 1961 (div 1983) Marchese
Umberto VALDAMBRINI-ACCORAMBONI and had two sons and a dau as above.
