From the Telegraph of 22 May 2020: INGE Letitia 'Tisha', Lady Inge (née Thornton-Berry) died peacefully on 18th May 2020. Dearly loved wife of Peter, Field Marshal Lord Inge, mother of Antonia and Verity, grandmother of Max, Toby and Charlie. Greatly missed. She was d of Lt Trevor THORNTON-BERRY NR (1895-1967, barrister), scion of the gentry family of that name of Swinithwaite Hall (see note), and Sylvia Mary Talbot (1904-77) d of Rev G T WHITEHEAD of Flanders Hall, Aysgarth, Yorks. She m 1960 FM Baron INGE KG GCB PC (b 1935) s of Raymond Albert INGE (1910-95) by his 1934 (reg Q2 Kent) to Grace Maud Caroline (1904-63) d of James DUROSE (1875-1938) by his 1903 m (reg Q3 Warwickshire) to Florence Maud GRIFFITHS (1882-1954), and had two daus as above.

Note: Burke's Family Index p12 lists the gentry family as THORNTON-BETTY, an unfortunate typo.

Letitia Marion Beryl Thornton-Berry (12 Oct 1935-18 May 2020), daughter of Trevor BERRY, 1921 THORNTON-BERRY (1895-    ) and of his wife, née Sylvia Mary Talbot Whitehead.

Trevor Berry purchased to Swinithwaite Hall estate in 1926. He was son of Edward Thornton Berry (1871-1905) and of his wife, Marion Ruston Addington. E T Berry was in turn the son of Thomas Berry (1824-1891) and of his wife, Emily Ada Larom (d.1919).
