Brook is there any useful movement in this peerage, I know that there
are only a couple of males in remainder before it would merge with
Winchelsea. The current earl's grandson and someone in the
collaterals who was having girls!

Afraid the news is kind of mixed on this peerage. There is hope-- the
current Earl's grandson is b. 1985 and unmarried.

Outside of the grandson (and his father Lord Guernsey) , only males in
remainder are a distant cousin. b. 1929 and his son, b. 1970. This
son is married and has had 3 daughters, b. 2002, 2004 and 2006.
Perhaps in 2008, he and his wife will have a son. (Incidentally, if
this cousin inherits the title down the line, the family name would
change from the present Finch-Knightley to Wynne- Finch.)

The only hope is Lord Gurnsey's son, the family have a propensity for
producing girls. Still if the other chap is still breeding he might
keep trying for a boy!?
