From the Times of 17 November 2017: BAXTER Normile Elliot on 15th November 2017, aged 88. Beloved husband of the late Anne, father of Angus, Robin, Caroline and Alastair. Loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Private funeral, thanksgiving service in the spring.
From the Telegraph of 3 February 2018: Baxter – Normile Elliot. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place at 11.30 on Saturday April 21st at Chapel of Garioch Parish Church, Chapel of Garioch, Aberdeenshire.
He was head of the Scots gentry family BAXTER formerly of Kincaldrum and m 1955 Anne Margaret Robertson d of Col Lionel Edward HILL OBE MC of Overdale, Forfar, Angus, and had three sons and a dau as above. His eldest son succeeds him as head of the family:
Angus Normile Elliot BAXTER (b 1956). He m 1984 (reg Q3 Sussex) Caroline Julie Teresa (b 1958 reg Q4 Wirral) d of Nigel John TATHAM (b 1927 reg Q4 Lewes, Sussex, s of Eric Tillyer TATHAM (1894-1982) and Hon Lettice Theresa DIGBY JP (1896-1967), d of 10th Baron DIGBY and his wife a scion of the HOOD viscounts) of Older House, Midhurst, Sussex, and Anne Elizabeth KELVILLE, and had issue:
1. Emma Louise Elliot (b 1988) m c2014 Lt Edward Gervase Colyer (b 1988) s of Capt the Hon Anthony Leopold Colyer MONCKTON (b 1960) s of Maj-Gen 2nd Viscount MONCKTON OF BRENCHLEY (1915-2006) and his w a scion of the gentry family BOWER formerly of Welham, and of the 1st & last Baron STRICKLAND, and Philippa Susan WINGFIELD (b 1962), scion of the viscounts POWERSCOURT, and had issue:
1.1 Elenaor Beatrix Isabelle MONCKTON (b 2016)
