There are 11 current peers and 1 current baronet who descend from Queen Victoria:

The Prince of Wales (as Duke of Cornwall, Rothesay and Cambridge)
Duke of Sussex
Duke of Edinburgh
2nd Earl of Snowdon
8th Earl of Harewood
2nd Duke of Gloucester
2nd Duke of Kent
4th Duke of Fife
4th Marquess of Milford Haven
3rd Earl Mountbatten of Burma
Lady Saltoun
Sir Leopold Huntington-Whiteley, 5th Bt.

That list will be increased by one, when the Marquess of Douro succeeds his father as the  Duke of Wellington.

colinp,  if I had been doing this list about 3 years ago, he would have obviously  been on it.

However, I left him off, as he is now referred to, even in the Royal Family's own site, by his given name, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

This is fairly pedantic but unless I'm mistaken the current Duke of Wellington's heir opted to continue styling himself Earl of Mornington rather than Marquess of Douro

Hi Sam.

I thought so too, that he was like the Earl of Burlington, who went by that title, rather than the Marquess of Hartington.  Supposedly, he did so for professional reasons, as he already hasd established his reputation as Bill Burlington.

thepeerage.com and Hein Bruin's sites were split, with thepeerage.com listing him as the Marquess of Douro, while Hein went with the Earl of Mornington.  I didn't know which to choose, so I opted for the higher title.

Debrett's online uses Earl of Mornington.

The thing is, he is still a peer, regardless of what anyone refers to him as. His peerage dignity can only be removed by act of parliament.

The confusion stems from the fact he has been removed from the roll, which does nothing, except not entitle someone to be referred to as a peer on official documents (this instruction too has been flaunted off in recent years).

One additional source-- he is referred to as the "Marquess of Douro" by Marlene Eilers Koenig:

At this point, it doesn't matter much-- barring unforseen circumstances, he will be the 10th Duke of Wellington at some point.

That blog post was written by Marlene shortly after the death of the late Duke when she would not have known that the Earl of Burlington would not be upgrading his courtesy title

Since the consensus seems to be that the Wellington heir retained his Earl of Mornington courtesy title after his grandfather's death, I have changed the title in my QVD list.
