A search at Ancestors.co.za All Deceased Estates and then a check of the relevant South Africa Gazettes reveals he died on 29 January 2021 his address being in Shillingford, Oxon, UK
He was the son of Lt-Col Michael Ronald LUBBOCK MBE (1906-1989), scion of the Barons Avebury though only in remainder to the 1806 Baronetcy and descended from the 6th son of the 3rd Bt, and his 1st w (m 1929, div 1956) Diana Beatrice CRAWLEY (d 1976). He m (1) 1956 (div 1959) Jill Caroline NICHOLLS (2) 1963 Shelagh Mary LANG (3) 1974 (div 1987) his cousin Philippa Harriet CHADWYCK-HEALEY (d of Sir Charles Chadwyck-Healey, 4th baronet) and (4) 1992 Melissa VARDEY and had issue by his first three marriages.
His death seems to have reported widely in the musical press (example linked below) and there was an obit in the Times (not being a subscriber I can't provide extracts)
