George Yvan Mercer Nairne

Claire F. Mercer Nairne (nee Aussudre, wife of Samuel George (Sam)
Mercer Nairne (b. 1976), scion of the Marquesses of Lansdowne, gave
birth to a son, George Yvan, 7 April, 2009, a brother for Violet.

Sam Mercer Nairne is the 1st son of Lord Robert Harold Mercer Nairne
(b. 1947), of Meikleour, Perthshire, by his wife, the former Jane
Elizabeth Gordon (scion of the Marquesses of Huntly), & Claire is a
daughter of the late M. Jean-Charles Aussudre and of Mme Francoise
Aussudre, of Bordeaux.

Sam Mercer Nairne is a grandson paternally of the 8th Marquess of
Lansdowne, PC (1912-99), and a grandson maternally of Lt-Col Lord
Douglas Claude Alexander Gordon, DSO.

Excellent News! This is first male born in the family since the 70's
and gives the marquisate a new lease of life.
