From the Times of 26 Sep 2025: WALWYN Humphrey Stewart on 4th September 2025, aged 77 years. Former BBC broadcaster/producer and music executive, died peacefully at home in Burton Bradstock, Dorset. Beloved husband of Dendy and father to Tom and George. Humphrey will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. A service at St Mary’s Church, Burton Bradstock, on Saturday 11th October at 2.00pm. He was s of Rear Adm James Humphrey WALWYN CB OBE 1913-86 scion of that gentry family f/o Longford (and through his mother a scion of the VAN STRAUBENZEE gentry family, as well 3xgt gs of 1^st Baron WROTTESLEY 1771-1841, 4xgt gs of 4^th Earl of TANKERVILLE 1743-1822, 5xgt gs of 1^st Viscount COURTENAY 1710-62 who was gf of 9^th Earl of DEVON 1768-1835) and Pamela Flora d of Surg-Capt Kenelm DIGBY BELL RN. H m 1974 reg Q2 Berks to Mary (Dendy) Theresa Garle WATT b 1949 reg Q4 Wilts, and had two sons.
