Luke is the eldest son of Mr Jonathan Irwin, of Ballitore, Co Kildare,
and the Hon. Mrs Mikaela Irwin, (nee
Rawlinson, b. 1941), of Stourton Caundle, Dorset, & Alice Irwin is the
elder daughter of Mr Simon John Elliot, of Stourpaine, Dorset, and Mrs
Elliot (nee Sonia Annabel Shand, b. 1949).
Luke Irwin is a grandson maternally of Baron Rawlinson of Ewell, QC, PC
(b. 1919), by his 1st wife Haidee, daughter of Gerald Kavanagh, and
Alice Elliot is a granddaughter maternally of Maj Bruce Middleton Hope
Shand, MC, by his wife the Hon. Rosalind Maud Cubitt, daughter of the
3rd Baron Ashcombe, and is a niece of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall &c.
