Last year I tried a experiment with a friction ring attached to the Cap rail and with 2 Jib sheets was able to compare windward ability. I believe the outer position is more optimal than the inner. Am now contemplating installing a new Genoa track outboard. So would like to get an idea from the group if others have tried a outboard Genoa Track
, what did you find, what is optimal length of this track. Thoughts welcome. In image you can see the temporary Friction ring laying on the caprail.
