Dear Friends,

AAP is focused on Delhi Assembly elections scheduled in November this year.

There is less than 2 months time available - THE TIME IS NOW OR NEVER.

There is a possibility of CHANGE only if AAP shows good results in Delhi. Arvind is running against the incumbent CM Shiela Dikshit, rather than choosing a safe constituency for himself. If he wins, it would be a coup of sorts; even a marginal loss would be morale-boosting.

A good performance in Delhi would give a national projection to AAP but a dismal performance in Delhi would seal the doors for all legitimate opposition to the established parties.

So friends, THIS IS THE ONLY CHANCE - HERE & NOW.

Arvind Kejriwal (IIT Kgp) & Somnath Bharti (IITD) are the two IITians in the fray & having known them personally over the past ten years or so, I can vouch for their SINCERITY, HONESTY & INTEGRITY - they have what it takes to be a good people's representative & be a harbinger of CHANGE from these dirty politicians.

Two very recent politico-legal developments (RTI about Political Party funds & Disqualification of convicted Politicians) were very welcome steps & could have brought some reforms in the political process but the way all the political parties have ganged up to thwart these moves by hook or by crook should be enough to open our eyes to see that the incumbent present-day politicians would go to any lengths to protect their self-interest, completely brazenly & have become so arrogant & intoxicated with power, that they feel they are above the courts & the constitution & will still be able to get back into power with their vote-banks & note-banks to perpetuate their corrupt regime & their power game.

AAM AADMI PARTY (AAP) was formed when it became clear that the only way to bring about a CHANGE in this situation was not through agitation or activism but to accept the challenge thrown by the corrupt system & enter the legislature directly to bring about the

necessary reforms. The party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, needs all the support – money & manpower to fight the coming elections. I urge you to take only a week off from your lives, whatever you may be going & devote it to the service of the nation by volunteering your time or your earnings for this cause.

Your VOTE (from Delhi voters for November Assembly election) & PUBLIC DONATIONS (from Everyone, Indian or NRI, small amts or large) will TRULY decide the country’s future.

Great initiative Abhilash. I hope more alumni would do that.

If you can create a note on this, we can circulate in the PANIIT forum as well as the individual AA forums. And from my understanding students would also have winter holidays from Nov end til Jan beginning. So there is a possibility of enrolling students for this program. Atleast I can get the note circulated through the KGP student wing.

This group will be neutral in all aspects except for their education background and hence would be a good model for India.

Keep me posted your planned dates. If possible i will also join for few days. Would be good to meet Arvind and Somnath again.

Cheers

Somnath or others connected with AAP : Could you please let us know how to go about it.  There may be other too who would be interested in such a thing. If you want, I can start a google doc and take volunteers names and dates they are willing to come to Delhi, and you can allocate constituencies, tasks etc.

The way you influence an outcome is to join the group and help when they need help. I also feel that AAP should work with LSP. But now they need to take delhi if we help we can perhaps influence AAP to join hands with other like minded parties. Perhaps even BJP and congress if they can shed their criminals from contesting in the next election as a first step and avoid all hereditary tickets.

Friends,

Arvind could create a Tsunami that could sweep the polls this time in Delhi. Here is a recent exchange with Shailendra Palvia, IITD who made a donation to AAP & a ground report from Vijay Kiyawat, IIT Kgp.
