Dear colleagues and friends,
Following our Christmas issue of the Paleopedology Newsletter, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to this edition, and to those who participated in IUSS Commission 1.6 and INQUA Paleopedology WG activities throughout the year.
Special thanks go to Elizabeth Solleiro, Lilit Pogosyan, Fatima Kurbanova for their significant contributions to organizing the life of the Commission and Working Group, sharing my duties, worries, and concerns.
I would also like to express my gratitude and warmest wishes to Curtis Monger, who supported all my activities related to the international paleosol community while hosting me as a Fulbright scholar at New Mexico State University. He played a key role in making possible the XIV International Symposium and Field Workshop on Paleopedology in Las Cruces this year.
I extend my heartfelt wishes to all of you for peace and harmony, exciting and fruitful research in the coming year. May all the best come to you and your families.
Additionally, I hope for your active participation in the forthcoming events of the international paleopedology community next year.
With the very best wishes to everyone.
