Well, this is the first official post to the Miracles of Palawan!
YAY!! *throws confetti* First, let me start off with a little
explaination of the name of this group. First off, it's a miracle that
AFM is working amonst the Palawano people to begin with. These people
are very resistant to change and very cautious of outsiders. The fact
that AFM was invited by this village to come and work among them is a
tremendous miracle in itself. Secondly, I've been hearing and reading
lots of reports about how God has continued to work among these people
for their salvation. Next, it's been quite a series of miracles which
has brought me to this point of being a missionary headed to work for
the Lord among the Palawano people as well, and I very much look
forward to the many miracles I'll witness in the two years that I'm
there. Last, and most importantly, our very lives, day-to-day are
miracles, gifts of God, since by all rights our race should never have
lived beyond the garden of Eden. The wages of sin is death, and all
have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Therefore, the simple
fact that we're all alive today is tribute to God's wonderful Mercy in
holding back the natural consequences of sin so that we might have a
chance to turn from sin and once again embrace Him with all that we
are. When time allows, I will write here of my thoughts and
experiences. It may be that not all of these writings will seem like
miracles, but in truth, every one of them is if we take the time to
stop and think about it. It's my hope and prayer that you all will
gain a blessing from these writings, and will be drawn into a closer,
more intimate relationship with God as a result. For those of you who
have supported me thus far, I thank you from the depts of my heart. I
want you to know that your support (emotional, spiritual, or financial)
has not gone unnoticed, by me or by God, and is appreciated more than
words can express.
Please encourage all your friends, relatives, and everyone you know to
come sign up for this group as well. They don't even have to write to
me to sign up. They can do it right from the group page. Just as it's
my hope and prayer that you all will be drawn closer to the Lord by
reading about what He's doing for the Palawano people, so to I hope and
pray that non-believers will be drawn to Him by reading of the same.
Thank you for being a part of my support group, and may the Lord Bless
you abundantly!!
With love in Christ,
Jeremy Gable
