I checked this out for myself and it is authentic, though I would suggest that people read the article on Snopes.com for themselves because there is additional information there which is not mentioned here. Although the link at the bottom is legit, please don't just click on it because someone downstream from me could change it. Just go to Snopes.com and do a search for the girl's name for yourself.
