Questions regarding media monitoring

Hi all. I am a new volunteer trying to get started. My first thought
was that I could help the most quickly by doing media monitoring, so I
have spent quite some time trying to find useful sources to monitor.
Here is my understanding of the process:

1. Select media titles and time slots
2. Within time slot, look for specific mentions of flood-related
updates that correspond to categories on pakreport.org
3. Create reports on pakreport (geotag, category)

Three questions: 1. Can you verify or correct my understanding? 2.
Maybe it is just me, but I can't find any good sources to monitor by
using the list in the spreadsheet. Since I am new to this, I am
assuming that breaking news information is still very scarce and
unavailable. I also assume this because no one else has signed up to
monitor. Is this true?

3. Therefore, even though it seems more difficult, can I help best by
doing mapping? Please let me know. I am eager to get involved.
