On Saturday, October 6th, 2012, A large number of Sindhi writers, poets, intellectuals, artists, civil society members, journalists and political activists staged a protest against Sindh People's Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO)
2012 outside Karachi Press Club on Saturday.
More than 300 PEOPLE OF PEN gathered here and chanted slogans against the ordinance, rejecting the dual system in one province.
Sindh Assembly Members, PML-F leaders Nusrat Sahar and Marvi Rashdi also participated in the protest and said that the ordinance was illegal and exposed PPP of betraying Sindh and its people.
