sent you yesterday was a draft that contained an incorrect phone number and
missed off some information. We still very much need your financial support
to help with my election campaign, so whatever you can donate will be very
much welcomed.*
 
Here is the corrected version of yesterday's email:
 
I am writing to ask for your help in my effort to re-enter parliamentary
politics.
 
Having spent almost twenty-five years standing up for the community and all
good causes in the House of Commons, I am now trying for a seat in the
Scottish Parliament representing the City of Glasgow.
 
It is a mountain to climb but it can be done. However, I need all the help I
can get from my friends to raise the funds for the election campaign. I am
relying heavily on the generosity of friends and well-wishers like you.
 
I sincerely hope you can help me. Should you wish to meet me to discuss this
