Ronald Maurice Alsop of Monmouth, Oregon August 24, 1933 - March 22, 2018 Ronald Maurice Alsop of Monmouth was surrounded by people who loved him when he went to heaven on Thursday, March 22. Born and raised in Pacific Grove, California (August 24, 1933), he met the love of his life in junior high and stayed faithful to her forever. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 66 years, their children Laurie (Ray) Jaindl and Ronnie (Debbie) Alsop, 4 grandchildren (Katie, Jeremy, Crystal, Nicholas) and 5 great-grandchildren (Morgan, Randall, Madison, Owen, Ella). He was 84 years old. Ron was meticulous in so many areas of his life: everything in his garage was spotless, his abilities with a paint brush were incredible, and the details in his stories were legendary. But the place where his meticulousness was most noticeable was in his love. He loved Mary wholeheartedly. He loved his family unconditionally. He loved his friends like no other. A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, April 7 at 2 pm at New Life Ministries at 238 Jackson E. in Monmouth, officiated by Pastor Marion Seick.
