My name is Mary Susan Taylor, and I graduated from Pacific Grove High
School in 1968. I am a member of the PG Alumni Association, and am
actively working with Dee Litch and Bill Hyler in finding the
obituaries and death notices (and actually any other data) on anyone
who ever attended, graduated or worked for PG High School or PG Unified
School District. I also help edit obits for Bill who is the editor of
the PGHS newsletter, the Knockout II. In the course of our research, I
have come across obits that mention PG (or The Paul Mortuary, Little
Chapel in the Woods, or El Carmelo Cemetery, all excellent search
terms), but they are not for staff or students of the school. But they
might help other folks doing research on PG so I invite people to post
them also (please search for them first to make sure they have not
already been posted). I am also including relatives of PG people. As I
have time, I am going through back issues of the Herald, and other PG
and Salinas papers, and will be posting obits from them too. I will
begin by posting collections of obits for each class year that I
already collected, plus a chart of each year showing what I have, and
what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated. PLEASE post
your source - full name and date of newspapers. I would also welcome
family-contributed obits or memorials IF CLEARLY STATED who wrote it.

My research partner, Dee Litch, points out that it is Little Chapel
by-the-Sea, not in-the-Woods. Thank you Dee, don't know what I would
do without your sharp eyes.
