World Hijab Day: A mockery of hijab

World Hijab Day has gained more momentum of late and the concept of hijab has taken a new dimension altogether. Convincing the entire world about the concept of hijab and creating awareness is fruitless if the basic concept of Tawheed remains distorted!

What is the legacy that we Muslims have inherited from the prophets sent by God? The legacy of getting people closer to the Creator; making them understand the basic of monotheism. If we walk down the era where our beloved Prophet peace be upon him resorted to Da’wah after getting commandments from Allah, we witness that he first hit the basic and from thereon slowly and steadily he went on to establish other components of deen. He could have easily started with the banning of alcohol by presenting the evils that came out of it, he could have started by explaining that halaal form of slaughtering has more advantages, he could have made them understand that interest-free trade was the way out and he was so respected that people would understand the wisdom behind such declarations! But, he well knew that unless and until the basic lies strengthened there is absolutely no use of such prohibitions! One can stop consuming alcohol but is this enough to secure his after-life? One can practice interest-free trade but to what benefit? One can resort to halaal forms of slaughtering but what’s the use? Similarly, one can be flabbergasted with the idea of hijab and the security it provides but to what advantage?
