Sorry, I don’t remember why I wrote that. It would take me too far away from my primary concern to have to dig into this. As I explained to Mark, I am trying to put together a lecture for the 100th anniversary of Cannizaro’s death in 1826.Of course, I meant to write that he was born in 1826.
It's the 200th anniversary of his birth.Otherwise, he would have had to come back 34 years after his death just to make it to the Karlsruhe gig! Not to mention that 1826 until now is 200 years, not 100.
