Rattlesnakes

Recently, a rumor has been floating around Perry Park that a
rattlesnake relocation entity from the Denver area has been seen
releasing rattlesnakes on Upper Cheyenne. The rumor apparently started
as a result of a conversation that one of our residents had with one of
the hauling firms that does a lot of work in the Park ...who supposedly
witnessed a couple of "re-locators" performing the dastardly snake
re-location deed. This week (May 22, 2006), I called the hauling firm
and spoke with the gentleman who was named as witnessing the release.
Yes, he did indeed witness such an event on Upper Cheyenne; however,
not recently as the current rumor alleges. The occurrence was actually
three or four years ago. From the hauler's explanation, he gave the
rattlesnake releasers such a bad time and threatened to call law
enforcement that it is doubtful that the "re-locators" ever returned to
the Perry Park area.
