CN78 - K7BWH June 30-July 2

Heads up: I’ll activate CN78 again about two weeks from today. Here’s your chance to get this rare grid in your log on both 6m and 2m.

I’ll be boondocking on a ridge in the Olympic National Forest with an excellent horizon and I hope for some good band openings. The spot is called North Point, the site of an earlier lookout station. Although most of the lookout structure has been removed, its floor is still there for putting out a chair to enjoy an amazing view over a 2,000’ dropoff.

My travel day is June 29, and then on the air for three days June 30 – July 2.

I’ll be on 6 meters with good power and aluminum. And this time I’ll bring a basic 2-meter station, too.

My goal is to work Alan N5NA in Texas, plus as many other people as possible. It’s the last grid he needs to finish his FFMA award.
