I will be roving for the CQ VHF Contest. I will be Starting in CN78 at Kloshe Nanitch (North Point) and moving my way down the coast to CN 77 MT Octopus, CN 77/CN76  in Ocean Shores then eventually down to CN75. I Haven't set  time table, I will operate based on conditions and activity. Operation FT8/SSB/CW.

Cheers
Barry

My first venture into FT-8 today. Someone had mentioned there were some PNW unique settings for 6m meteor scatter on MSK?  73. Scott W7IMC. DN13ql

Scott, nice looking shack!
I don’t think there are any unique settings for WSJT in the PNW. You can check our Resources web page (http://pnwvhfs.org/resources.html) and see if anything looks different than what you normally use. If anything important is missing or wrong, let me know. We can’t get too creative and still work with the rest of the country and the world.
How do you like the tactical handles on your 7300? What brand are they?

Hi Barry. This is the seller on Etsy and he ships from Greece.  There was a 10 percent off sale last month and I ordered a pair for an 891 and 7300. $62 delivered for the pair. Took about 3 weeks. Variety of colors. I have a set of Portable Zero rails on an 818 and they are the cats meow, but for the price the 3D rails from Greece are very robust and meet my needs. 73. Scott W7IMC

Thanks to WSDOT I'm changing my plans. Due to various road closures, I will only be working CN 78 and CN77 (Hole in the wall) during the majority of the contest. I'll Start in CN78 as originally planned until late afternoon then move to CN77 for the remainder of the evening and night. I'll be coming back down out of the Olympic National Park Sunday Morning. I'm bringing my loop antennas and will work CN88 and CN87 on my way home. Time permitting I may stop in Sequim or Port Townsend to operate FT8, other wise I'll be SSB while traveling. You can follow me on APRS.

Cheers
