PS – I tried something new for this contest. I wasn’t hearing much on my 3-el beam from my little hole down at sea level in a valley at the northern tip of Lake Washington. So, I hung a KB6KQ horizontal loop on the back of the rover van, and drove up to Horizon View Park at 500’ asl. This added about 10dB to all the local signals. Nice, and instant easy setup; just turn on the rig and open the laptop. Still no band opening at the time, but the locals sounded great, lol.

Here’s a tip to get the best Cabrillo formatting: After you submit your log to ARRL, they show you a final log with all the special fields filled in correctly. Copy/paste their log into an email to us! It guarantees you end up in the right category and everything else.

We’d love to receive more logs to include in our June contest history page, although they’re not eligible for fabulous prizes. (A friendly hint to K7IU, KD7UO, KG7P, N7EPD, and a few others who submitted ARRL logs but didn’t send us a copy.)

Also, it’s never too late to send us soapbox comments and photos.

Interesting to look at the ARRL club score summary, and compare it to the logs I've gotten from Barry, and am just starting to look at.  It looks like the ARRL page lists corrected scores, not claimed scores. and in at least one case (K7SYS), they changed the entry class (from SO3B to SOLP).  I'm not sure why..

I can answer that - I checked 100 watt boxes for 2m and 70 cm..  The limit is 50 watts on 3-band for 2m and 70cm.  I actually only ran 50 watts or less but it didn't seem to be worth the effort to the entry.  Next time I will pay closer attention if I decide to do three band.
