Relatively new simple bridge program connects WSJT-X (v3.0.2+) CAT and Audio via network TCI to your IC-705 via WLAN. Avoids the noisy USB cabling. TCI can carry both audio and CAT serial over TCP making for simpler connections. I am using it for most all my SDRs today.
I think it can be extended to do transverter frequency translation without too much fuss, I am doing it already on a ESP32 USB to BT CI-V bridge. WSJT-X has no idea what your rig can do, if you tell the 705 to do 222 it sees a rejection from the 705. Put a device or program in the middle and swap out the frequency info in the CI-V messages and send the only IF frequency to the radio, the radio and WSJT-X are happy.
RS-BA1 does similar function using separate audio and serial connections locally, no TCI today. wfView is free and supports many radios, no TCI yet either, but I think it is overkill and I have had stability issues with it so I have not used it much. This new bridge program looks like I could be a great simple, compact, and hopefully stable, free alternative.
