Fw: “Amber alert” info light in 2018 Subaru Outback

I get an occasional amber light which refers me to the owners’ manual. (No info there!)

It illuminates if an amber alert warning/caution is sent but does not appear to illuminate at other times. If will only shut off when the car has been completely shut down. 

Does anyone know what frequency is used and iif any other cars have this system too

Amber Alerts come from Sirius XM radio.  In your Subaru open the Radio Settings. Access Sirius XM Options. Navigate to Alerts. Toggle Amber Alerts off. If all else fails visit your local Subaru dealer for help.
