1.25m FM contacts

I have very limited 1.25 resources, basically a Kenwood HT and a base station tri-band antenna.  I have been occasionally calling out at 223.50 and its nothing but crickets(well, silence, actually, since it is FM :)).

Is that the correct frequency for FM Simplex?  It actually isn't listed in the ARRL band plan.  I'm in Everett, so give a shout out if you want.  I'll probably be on for the next hour or two.  I'm not sure how far 5 watts goes, but I know that I can hit the M&K repeater.
