Microwave step attenuator

With the VHF contest behind us I decided to work on some unfinished
projects. One of them was a controller for a newly acquired step
attenuator. After a couple of shipments from Amazon I was able to finish
the project and I've written a short blog post about it on my website:

As for the VHF contest I spent the Saturday outside listening for VE7NX
on 10 GHz. It would have to be a contact reflected off the Olympics, but
unfortunately we were not able to find a signal path. Hopefully with
better locations or more power we will be able to make the contact soon.
The next build day in Burien will be on January 26 from 9am to noon-ish.
