Job description:

Yoh IT is in immediate need of an HFE for our client in the Hillsboro location.

4.5 months in duration, (dept coverage for sabbatical and maternity leave)

1 position

40 hours per week

HFE - subjective testing and lab support

Work closely with MAP Lab staff to plan, schedule, run analyze and report results of subjective assessment studies for a series of stakeholder groups. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to coordinate and/or Design, Administer, Analyze and Report out of results of Psycho-visual, Psycho-acoustic and Usability tests. They should be able to work with our clients teams to develop new methodologies that measure, track and adapt new testing environments to end-user expectations for media quality over time. We are looking for a junior human factors engineering (HFE) candidate that can work with team leads to drive develop and test new methods, processes and run experiments for several business and product groups. They will be responsible for conducting competitive analysis and performance based testing to acquire end-user empirical data to be used by management.

10% travel (local OR campuses) 

Bachelors + 5 yrs. experience or

MS + 2 years experience 

Jr to Mid Level

We are seeking a candidate that is an HFE with demonstrated skills in running controlled lab experiments for subjective assessment of media quality.. Our candidate should be able to effectively conduct experimentation with human participants (e.g., demonstrated people skills). They should combine excellent written and oral communications skills with a highly self motivated work-style - this person needs the ability to work with minimal oversight - Strong statistical analysis skills highly valuable, for example Analysis of Variance, Correlation and Regression analyses. The candidate should have demonstrated facility with windows office applications and statistical analysis packages (Statistica is the specific analysis software we use in the UCD team). Particular focus on acoustics science and/or video/audio and/or voice quality assessment a strong plus.
