Volt is currently recruiting for multi level (2+ years HF Experience) Human Factors Engineers. These positions are located in Hillsboro and the descriptions vary. Daily duties can include but are not limited to the following:
**Analyze tasks in order to specify capabilities of future hardware and software products.
**Development of use cases, usage scenarios, & task flows.
**Formal task analysis methods
**Plan validation research to help determine how interested customers would be in planned projects.
**Gathering user feedback regarding web sites and Windows applications.
**Influence product groups to make changes to product design.
**Heuristic reviews
** Statistical analysis of user data.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate would have the
most or all of the following skills, as well as be pro-active and self directed. Also, be motivated to take risks and deliver above/beyond strict interpretation of need.
**Minimum of 2 years on the job experience with Human Factors testing, planning, etc.
**Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
**Knowledge of: Usability evaluation methods
Usage Models, personas, scenarios
**Good writing skills
**Microsoft Office proficient
**Prototyping or script based programming for SW UI simulations.
All candidates are required to complete and pass an drug screen and 7 year background check. Also, candidates located in the Portland/Hillsboro metro area will be given preference. Out of area applicants will be responsible for any & all relocation/interview costs. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US for the entire length of the proposed contract, without sponsorship.
