Hello Everyone, excellent news! I just heard on a call with the Education Committee that our proposal for a PNES information sheet for mental health professionals has been approved with great enthusiasm. :)
So, now, we need to put our nose to the grindstone because we are supposed to have a finished product by December.
Any suggestions on how to tackle this project are most welcome. I was thinking we might create certain subsections.
Some very rough set of ideas: What is PNES -with discussion of DSM and ICD classification, treatment approaches, recommendations for managing a seizure in the psychotherapist's office, recommendations for seizure management in daily life, prognosis, additional resources that will then be filled out by those who want to work on them.
Please let me know any other ideas you may have for this project, interests, etc. and hopefully we will move forward at a brisk pace. Lorna
